Michael, Have you seen your surname listed as Grancer before? I have a Grancer Kendall E. Bazzell/Bazwell/Boswell b. 1800 VA/NC border in and around Caswell/Person Co., NC then on to TN/KY. I have been trying to find where the Grancer name came from. So far, your surname of Granser is the only one I've found to be similar.
