Joseph Gratton 1910 Of N.B. Canada
Posted by: Colleen Buchanan (ID *****2048) Date: December 15, 2005 at 15:16:32
  of 43

My grandfather was Joseph Gratton from New Brunswick Canada. He was born in 1910 and he died in 1970, but never told his kids about his life before he married my grandmother in 1945. He did say that he left home at 12 and made his way across the country. We know that he was married prior to my grandmother and I am awaiting that information from my Uncle, who has the divorce papers. We also know that he was in the armed forces prior to marrying my grandmother and we believe they met and married in the army. My grandmother's name was Bernice Maxfield. If anyone has any more info that would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.
