A Treasure for some GRATTON
Dear listers,
Some sixteen years ago I was visiting an antique shop when I idly picked up a little Victoria book entitled "Society for promoting Christian Knowledge".I looked inside and there to my amazement a mother had lovingly recorded the births of seven children and then sadly in the back of the book three of those children's deaths. She had even written down the time of the births and the deaths. It seemed such a shame to leave it laying there that I boughot it and brought it home with me.I have kept it ever since.I have tried severeal times to find its family.but to no avail. If you think that it may belong to your family please contact me at my e-mail address. It cost me the magnificent sum of £1.50!As I bought it in Matlock, I am assuming that it came from Derbyshire.IF no-one comes forward I shall keep it safe. It's important to me that it gets back to the right family so please present some evidence
Thankyou
Barbara Kilby-Croft.
