John and Chloe Gratton are my 3gr grandparents who lived in New Haven, NY. I believe I have figured out who Chloe's parents were. Mary Gratton, the daughter of John and Chloe Gratton, was the sister of Louisa Gratton Van Buren (my 2 gr grandmother). I have a book titled "The Life of Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa, The African, Written By Himself". On the inside cover it's written "Mary Grattons Book, A present from her uncle H. Joslyn, Cicero, Feb 23rd, 1845". Hezekiah Joslyn was a doctor and abolitionist who lived in Cicero, Onondaga, NY. His parents were Hezekiah Joslyn and Chloe Hall. From this I beleive that John Graton's wife Chloe was named after her mother and is the daughter of Hezekiah Joslyn and Chloe Hall.
