Mary Henriette Gravel was born at Blackbrook (also Black Brook), Clinton County, New York on 2 Feb 1872 and baptised at Assumption of Mary Catholic Church in Redford, Clinton County, New York on 17 Mar 1872. Source: parish records of Assumption of Mary Catholic Church, Redford, Clinton County, New York; volume 1, page 372, baptismal record #18 in 1872; available on LDS FHL microfilm #1450720. She married Arthur Mulherin on 6 December 1897 at Whitefield, Coos County, New Hampshire.

Henriette was the daughter of Jonas Gravel and Aurelie Robert who married 4 July 1859 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Keesville, Clinton County, New York.
