Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Actually, the baptismal name of your great-grandfather was Elphege Gravel. Source: parish records of St. Etienne Catholic Church (civil records copy), St. Etienne-de-Bolton, Brome County, Quebec; page 5 in 1879, baptismal record #19 in 1879; available on LDS FHL microfilm #1689492. Elphege is also found in various U.S. Census reports and in his World War I draft registration.

I will send you the answer to your question by e-mail message.
