Searching for data about Rachel Gray, wife of Samuel Gray of Wilkes Co., NC. Was her maiden name Sales ? Parks ? Or ????? Samuel is son of James Gray. Rachel and Samuel had children: Mary, Marjory, Elizabeth, Frances, Austin (my ancestor), Salley and Martin. Samuel, along with two brothers, John and James Jr., served with local militia in American Revolution. Their unit was at King's Mountain. Later, Samuel and Rachel moved to Tennessee. Samuel died about 1837 in Bedford Co., TN., Rachel believed to have died about 19 Nov. 1849 in TN.
