Gray/Warren DNA Problem
Posted by: Benita H Gray (ID *****1576) Date: June 20, 2008 at 11:46:18

I, with the help of Y-DNA have established my Gray line to John Gray. His son, Edward Gray who was born at Stapleford Tawny, Essex, England on15 April 1623. Edward came to the Plymouth Colony in about 1638 with his younger brother Thomas. Edward did well in the colony and was involved in thePocasset Purchase among other interests. He married (1) Mary Winslow who died about 1663 and(2) Dorothy Lettice on 12 December 1665Recently it has come to my attention that three of the present male Warren family have Y-Dna results that match mine within one marker of 25 or two markers of 37. All three of these Warrens believe they are of the Mayflower Warren family but their proof anly goes bact to a Jabez Warren who was married in Ct in 1716/1717. He may be a son of Elizabeth Warren, the Granddaughter of Richard Warren of the Mayflower. Elizabeth testified that a Joseph Doty (Also a Mayflower Family) was responsible for her unborn child. The Warren, Doty and Edward Gray families lived in the same area of the Plymouth Colony. I believe that the Joseph Doty was not responsable but one of my Gray family ancestors was. I need help in solving this delema.
