This portrait of Prof. Asa Gray appears on page 99 (along with biographical information) of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XI, no.5, 1888. Prof. Gray was a botanist at Harvard College. He was born in Oneida Co., NY in 1810 and died in Cambridge, Mass. in 1888.
