Nicholas GREATOREX c. 1576 Derby?

Might anyone be able to help me confirm the following information?

I have just found a Nicholas Greatorex, b. c. 1576 Denby, Derbyshire, married to an Isabel Simmes. This couple had a dau., Ann, b.c. 1611, who is said to have married a William Hunt. My connection(if valid)comes in a few generations later when Mary Hunt married a John Booth of Duffield, Derbyshire.

It would appear that Nicholas Greatorex is the forefather of a number of Derbyshire families, however, does anyone have any hard information as to his forbears?

This is a most unusual surname...I don't think that, in almost 30 years of research, that I've come across it before. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Regards to all,
Larry D. Hamilton Coats
(Other Derbyshire names are: SLACK, SIMMS, BROWN, BOOTH, TOMPSON, CLOUGH, AND COATES)
