I RECENTLY WENT TO DUBLIN TO DISCOVER THEY WERE RUNNING A PLAY, BASED ON THE POST COMWELLIAN HEALER CALLED VALENTINE GREATRAKES, AND DURING THE PLAY I NOTICED THE IRISH ACENT MADE THE NAME SOUND LIKE GREATOREX. ON MY RETURN I LOOKED UP THE NAME UP ON THE INTERNET,TO DISCOVER HE WAS ALSO KNOWN AS GREATOREX (ITS AN IRISH WEBSITE). THIS MAN ALTHOUGH FROM WATERFORD -IRELAND, HIS FAMILY WERE ORIGINALLY FROM DERBYSHIRE AND I TOO HAVE SEEN EVIDENCE THAT OUR NAME COMES FROM THE DERBYSHIRE AREA, FROM A PREVIOUS VISIT THERE. MAYBE THIS COULD HELP YOUR RESEARCH
