Greer, residing near RASHARKIN, has been found murdered in one of his own out-houses; the body was dreadfully mangled, and a hatchet was lying beside the mangled corpse.Peter Aiken, Esquire the coroner, having speedily repaired to the place, summoned a respectable jury to investiage the circumstances of the case, and, after a minute inquiry, it appeared to them that two of the sons of the deceased and a daughter were implicated in the murder of their father. In consequence thereof, the coroner immediately granted a warrant, and they have all been committed to CARRICKFERGUS gaol. The eldest son is, we understand, about 24 [born c1792] years of age, the 2nd about 20 [born c1796], and the daughter about 17 [born c1799].
