I've found census information that shows William Greenamyre's father to be Samuel Greenamyer/Greenamyre.
The 1880 census for Alaiedon Township, Ingham County, Michigan shows Samuel Greenamyer, his wife, Melinda and children William and Idolia. I also found Samuel on the 1920 Delta Township, Eaton County, Michigan census living with Charles and Idolia Piper. Samuel is listed as Father in law.
Other documentation also links the Greenamyer and Piper family. Please check the Piper GenForum, heading "Re: Ida Piper died 25 Nov 1948 in MI" for more information.
Now to figure out Samuel's parents??!!
