7th son, 39th child William & Elizabeth Greenhill
The book Hemel Hempstead Yesterday, 1982, by Ballin & Tomkins includes this information on Thomas Greenhill.
Thomas Greenhill, born 1669, 39th child, seventh son,
William Greenhill & Elizabeth
Residence: Kings Street Bloomsbury
Occupation: Chirurgeon (Surgeon)
Author: Nekrokedeia or the art of embalming (London, 1705), 210.
Petitioned Duke of York for a modified coat of arms 1698.
New coat of arms has 39 mullets with Bars of Argent and Demi-griffon
Blanche Lyon was the Duke of York, I think.
Hemel Hempstead Yesterday uses Jones for Elizabeth's last name. Claims that White, Dwhite, & the Chauncy book are wrong.

______________________________
How come we have so much information on the Solicitor William and so little on the Doctor Thomas.
The only thing close to a hit I have found on Thomas's personal life is the below listed St. Bride Marriage. I also understand that I may finally learn that William, not Thomas, is my ancestor.
I have been in discussion with Chris Reynolds who has the website:
He is not yet ready to buy into anyone having 39 children until he sees some original documents.
I did send for the Greenhill family papers packet from the LDS Family Search center and it included a handwritten genealogy chart which was very helpful in following the wills that Tara Grant posted following the family line of William Greenhill and Mary Sheriffe.
College of Arms, Queen Victoria Street, London EC4V 4BT has offered to do a pedigree search on the Thomas Greenhill coat of Arms for $500 U.S. but I have so far resisted that course of action.
Potential hit?

Can anybody else add anything to the 39 children.
Doug Greenhill
