A. Josiah KELLOGG b. 7 Aug.1770 in Hatfield MA m. #2 Sally Fox in 1792 and was known to be living in Ferrisburgh [Addison] VT in 1792 [assume married there but my info doesn't state that]. He died in Rockport, [Cuyahoga] OH about 1847-48
His issue:
1. Catherine Honey Kellogg b 1796.
2. Hiram Webster Kellogg b. 1798.
3. John Fox Kellogg b. 1800
4. Abel Thompson Kellogg b. 1802
5 *Rachel KELLOGG b. 1804 m John HIMES*************
6. Wealthy Ann KELLOGG b. 1807 m. Daniel GRIGNON [Greenough]
I do believe there is a possibility we are on to something here??? Are Charles Himes and John Himes brothers??? Are Laura Greeno and Daniel Greenough siblings? Cousins??
John and Rachel Kellogg Himes came to Cuyahoga county OH about 1830-35. Josiah's wife died 1832 and we think that is probably when they all left VT and went to OH. Wealthy and Hiram also ended up in the Cuyahoga/Lorain county area [originally there was no Lorain county, it is part of 3 original counties, one of them being Cuyahoga (city of Cleveland is in Cuyahoga County)].
Could your family have originally gone to OH and then on to IL or vice versa? Where in IL did they go, by the way?
