Jo Ellen, I hope this gets to you. I'm new to this Greenough list. My wife's ggrandmother was Addesse or Edesse Grignon.
She and her parents (unknown) came from Canada and traveled to Wisconsin via a canal boat around 1866-68. They met a young man Arnold Gottlieb Favre, from Switzerland, on the boat. Addesse and Arnold get married, and settle in Prairie du Chien, Wis. She died in 1880, and the 5 children from that marriage were raised by their step mother. I don't know what happened to her parents. I'm looking for information on Addesse Grignon, and her ancestors. Does this information match with
