hi my name is Rose and i'm about to tell a story lol.
my grandmother was Elizabeth Greenough and her hubby was George Henry Greenhough, Elizabeth died 1959.Elizabeths sister was florence greenhough and when she got married to Robert Hakesley and she became florence Hakesley florence Hakesley died 1956.
ok now i said that they were my grandparents but they wasn't my natural ones you see Elizabeth and George adopted my grandmother from her being a baby my grandmothers natural name was Mary Smith but her adopted name was florence Greenhough she was born 1908 and was adopted the same year unfortunatly she passed away 10 years ago and i never managed to get any info from her, but i have found a photoe albumn and i have also questioned other family members.I know that in 1929 my grandmother lived with her adopted mother Elizabeth at 82 stokes street clayton manchester, i also know that george grrenhough left them for another woman but he did stay in the manchester area.
I think they lived in lanarkshire Schotland for a short time when my grandmother was a baby as their is a post card of Elizabeth holding my grandmother and on the back it has a lanarkshire address. That is where my story ends i hope it is of help to you or may be you could be of help to me.
