Anna,

The family record (23-page typed list of descendants of Silas Greeno) that I have is not documented. It does list March 27, 1874, as date of death for Silas Greeno. I have been able to document several other dates, though, so I generally trust the record.

Based on other sources, I believe that Silas and his sons were probably in Westville or Malone, Franklin County, New York, in the 1870s. According to the typescript family record, four sons (Edward, Chas., John, and Amos) came to Wisconsin in 1877. John went back to New York, though.

I have not been able to find cemetary records or other documentation for death of Silas.

Can anyone suggest a good approach for finding death or burial records from Franklin County, New York, for the 1870s?
