I'm trying to find my grandfathers side of the family. This is all that I know so far:
JACOB GREENOUGH b. 9/1827 in Germany d. 6/14/1901 in Painesville, Ohio, married MARY LEMON (1878) b. 10/18/1849 in Germany d. 8/19/1902 in Painesville, Ohio.
Children of JACOB and MARY:
JACOB b. 10/25/1880, Rockcreek, OH; d. 12/6/1957, Cleveland, OH, married BERTHA FRANCES. They had two daughters FRANCES and MILDRED.
JOHN b. 7/1881, Painesville, OH; d. 3/10/1913, in the Marines in Havana, Cuba.
SAMUEL b.3/15/1884 in Painesville, Ohio d.12/7/1967 in Bedford, Ohio, married to Pearl Wilhelmina Jessie Keeler (6/20/1908) b. 12/8/1887 in Bedford, Ohio d.5/27/1957 in Bedford, Ohio, (she is the daughter of Percy Keeler and Frances Cadman). They had 3 children RAYMOND, ROY SAMUEL and JESSIE THELMA.
BENJAMIN b. 1/2/1887; d. 8/1964.
AZRIEL b. 3/1889, Painesville, OH; d. 10/11/1918 in WWII.
JOSEPH b. 3/28/1891; d. 8/6/1963. He married ANNIE LENORA BATEMAN (9/17/1917 in Berkley, VA), b. 11/22/1895 in Columbia, NC; d.10/25/1945 in Norfolk, VA. They had 10 children JOSEPH JACOB, JOHN EARSEL, JESSIE SAMUEL, LENORA ELIZABETH, MARY ALBERTA, JULIAN AZRIEL, JEROME GEORGE, JAMES THOMAS, PEARL FRANCES and an infant that died the day it was born.
MARY b. Abt. 1900.
I was told by my uncle that all of the family record were lost in a fire in 1900. I would like to find out when they came to America, Where they landed, and any of the ancestory for this family.
