Portraits of William and Ruth Amelia Greenough, Eastport, ME, 1833

The Summer/Autumn 2008 issue of ANTIQUES AND FINE ART magazine on p. 204 pictures in an article two silhouette portraits of William and Ruth Amelia Greenough of Eastport, Maine, dated 1833. The article gives no further genealogical information about Mr. & Mrs. Greenough.

These portraits should be made known to the Greenough family. I am scanning them in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have them--they are too good to be missed by the family. They may not have extensive genealogy value (no other genealogy information is given about them), but they certainly do have a whole lot of family and artistic value.

My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see.

If they were portraits of Pease family members, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.

Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA
