My gggrandfather was John GREENHOUGH married to Mary JENNINGS. He was born in Tickhill, Yorkshire 9 Nov 1826, married 25 Dec 1848, and emigrated to Canada c1850 with her parents and his wife's brother and wife. It is believed they first went to the area around Hamilton, (Stoney Creek), then London, then settled in Lambton County about 1863 around the area of Forest. He was apparently quite a successful contractor, working on major projects sucdh as railway building and harbour improvements in Toronto (Hanlon's Point) as well as the Springbank Reservoir in London. While I have found him on the census on the Forest area I have not yet found much definitive information other than that stated above and the fact that he apparently served on Forest council after his retirement, owned several farms in Lambton Co. and the Greenhough block in downtown ForestI have info on his descendants which I would be glad to exchange for info on him and his ancestry. Is there any connection?
