Daniel b. 1755 Mom LITTLE or EMERSON
Posted by: Karen Baker Date: May 13, 2000 at 14:16:45

From my understanding... Daniel Greeno b. Dec. 18, 1755 father was Daniel Greenough b. October 24, 1731. I have seen several wives for Daniel (Sr.) and my confusion comes in with Elizabeth Little and Hannah Emerson. I've seen the mother of Daniel as Elizabeth Little...BUT...

For Daniel and Hannah Emerson I've seen this at the LDS site: Marriage: aft 22 Jun 1651 Place: Plaistow, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. That's just 4 1/2 yrs. before Daniel (Jr.) was born.

I've seen the date for Elizabeth Little as (also LDS site): Marriage: 7 Oct 1762 Newport, Hants, Nova Scotia. This is almost seven years after Daniel (Jr's) birth.

For fun, I see that Daniel (Jr.) had a son named EMERSON Greeno!

If the dates are correct, or even close, then it would be logical that Hannah Emerson is Daniel (Jr.) mother, not Elizabeth Little, but then logic doesn't always fit into genealogy. HELP!!!
