I just spent the past few hours exploring my 17 CD's looking for a ggreat-grandmother that I THOUGHT was a Greene. She is a dead end on my tree She was born in Vermont in 1809, and her husband was born in Ruthand, Vermont. She was found to be spelled Greeno in an old newspaprer article and Greno in a book. I limited my searches to the Greno-Greeno spellings until about my 11th CD when I discoverd it had gone from Grenough to Greeno. This is a direct cut and paste from the notes I made today in my ggreat-grandmother Laura Green/e/Greno/Greeno's notes:
Areas and other spellings to explore:

Gustavos Chitman Greenos 3-5775 of Rutland Vermont
Madora Greenow of Rutland, VT 11-3260
Greenough - seems to have been shortened to Greeno by some

the numbers are from Family Tree Maker's CD's...disk number and tree number.

I saw a number of Nova Scotia (sorry, I'm not sure of the spelling!) and Canada locations, infact if I remember, and family left USA to go to NS. I thought I saw a Kellogg, so I will reurn to my CD's and let you know if I find anything...
