I am a GG-grandson of A.N. Greenway and his second wife, Dora Lee Allen. I have been looking back into my family for 2-3 years. Based on my research, I believe there is a very compelling argument that our "Missouri" George Greenway came from VA and is one of the children of another George Greenway in Montgomery County, VA. Data sources that I would suggest include: Wills of Montgomery and Fincastle County VA, and the one that will get you what you need is the Personal Property Tax Records for Montgomery County, VA 1805 & 1806. In 1806, you will see two George Greenway's right together which I believe is father & son.

Best of luck.
