Hello, I am researching my family tree and came across a follow u you had posted reguarding your family. I have been trying to figure out what my family's name was before they left Germany is 1870. I may have my onfo ll confused right now, but Im wondering if you might be able to help me. My great grandparents were elsworth vain b 1859 and emma grentz b 1879 from maryland. From there I cant seem to find a definate on parents for either of them. I do know that Emma's parents were direct immigrants from Germany, and she had a brother named andrew. From the records I have gathered I believe that they came here in 1870. I believe that their names were probably changed to "americanize" them when they came here. From Andrew
s death record, his mother's maiden name is listed as "kuenet," which i cant find anythign on either.I'm wondering if you know anything about this part of the Grentz family or if Im striking out here.
thanks for any help you may be able to provide in advance:)
