You spoke of other origins of Greigo.
I found this information which was published in a Spanish dictionary called "Dawson's Spanish Dicconario" dated 1787
for the meaning of "Griego"Malango foreigners,, (I suspect the word "Malango" refers here to usage of mixedlanguages or dialects.),, who use a certain type of dialect which keeps them from speaking Spanish easily & naturally, referred to as Griego (Gringo as slang) for Irish desendants.
These would refer as I mention to more likely Scotch-Irish of Celtic ancestory. I may be wrong but this is my reading. If nothing else should envolve discussions and research
