My greatgrandmother was Abbie May Griffing Richards of Greenport L.I.N.Y. Abbie was born in the Springs on 10 June 1876. I have records going back to my gggg grandparents. They are as follows Calvin Moore Griffing born 1830 & Hannahette Edwards born 1841 of Shelter Island; Calvin Moore Griffing born 1800 & Abigail Congdon of Shelter Island; Moses Griffing & Sybil King married in Southold L.I. on 24 Jan. 1788.
