Hi,
Stumbled onto your info. William Weir Griffing is my great-grandfather. His son Samuel was my grandfather. My grandmother, Amy Anthony was his third wife. They had 10 children. I'm not positive of the order but they are Harry, Amy, Mae, Bill, Rose, Garnet, Olive, twins Florence and Lawrence and Margaret. Margaret died as an infant or toddler. Harry and Amy are gone. My mother is Olive. Most live in Ohio. I am in California. I have a sister Sue and a brother Bob.
Sgt.William Weir Griffing served in the union army and fought at Gettysburg. He raised his family in Philadelphia. His name is on the Penn. memorial at Gettysburg.
This is off the top of my head, I have more info in a box somewhere.
Let's talk. E-mail me.
Billi Friese
