Karen, I have this name as Jasper Dunbar GRIFFING. Is this incorrect? My information is from "The History of the Descendants of the Jersey Settlers of Adams Co., MS". J. D. GRIFFING is a brother of my Gr Gr Grandmother, Penelope "Nellie" (GRIFFING) EMANUEL. Their sister Anna Eliza married Sam MACKEY. The parents were William GRIFFING (1779-1858) and Sarah L. JONES (1787-1876). In 1860 census for Rodney, Jefferson Co., MS, J.D. GRIFFING is a merchant, age 46?, b. MS, with wife Elizabeth, age 36, b. KY, and daughter Elizabeth, age 9, b. MS. also in household is Isaac PEARSON, age 25, b. KY, a clerk, and James G. ROSS, age 27, b. KY, a clerk. Did Isaac Pearson GRIFFING and Anne Mackey GRIFFING before 1860? I have the GRIFFING and JONES families back into Wales and happy to share what I have. Edward Miller Notify Administrator about this message?
