HI Lynna,
I apologize for not answering sooner but I've had to put this on hold for a while due to family health matters. Most of what I know of James Monroe Griffing is that he married three times. Children by Rebecca Jones were: Learner Blackman, Sarah, John Wesley, Stephen A., Abigail Ann, James Young, and Daniel Milton. I don't have any copies of wills or birth certificates, BUT...my reference notes show that John William Griffing, my uncle (now deceased) got his information at the courthouse in Port Gibson, Ms. I still have some holes to fill in for this line of the family. I'll let you know if I come across anything else.
