Hi Carol,

Like Donna McLean, I am a descendant of George Grimmond (b.1814 Strathmiglo,Scotland) and wife Betsey (nee Beveridge b.1818 Dunbog,Scotland)who arrived in South Australia aboard the William Stevenson on 1st February 1855 (departed Liverpool) along with their children Margaret (17 May 1840),William (29 May 1843) and George (3 July 1847). A daughter Isabella was born 13 January 1858 in Gawler, South Aust. Betsey was christened Betsey(not Elizabeth) but one of her sisters was named Elizabeth.

George and Betsey are my Great Great Grandparents. Their daughter Margaret was married twice, first to Charles Lepoll in Adelaide, South Aust 1855 when she was just 15 years of age and a daughter Elizabeth Lepoll was born 15 October 1857 in Gawler. Margaret's second marriage was to August Ferdinand Frankel (b.1823 Berlin, Germany)in Tanunda, South Aust on 26 December 1859 when she was 19. This marriage produced 5 sons and 8 daughters all born in Gawler.

August and Margaret (Grimmond) Frankel are my Great Grandparents and their daughter/my grandmother Minna Isabella Minnie Frankel (b.21 January 1876) married Edmund Greig Fullerton (b.1864 Sandergrove,South Aust)on 6 August 1894 in Eurelia, South Aust and they had 4 sons and 7 daughters all born in Eurelia. Their daughter Stella Fullerton (b.15 October 1914) who married Ivan Josiah Grigg (b.28 May 1905 Millicent,South Aust) are my parents.

I have recorded most of the Grimmond family, their marriage partners, children etc (including your Great Grandmother) in the Grabowski Family Tree on which is available for public members to see. Alternatively, if you have other gaps in the Grimmond tree which you have not been able to find since your posting on this website in 2006, I may be able to help.
