We were told that our gg-grandfather, JOHN L. LAWSON b. January 1855, d. 1912 TX was married to MARGARET GRINDLE b. 1861, possibly from MO d. abt. 1894 Freestone Co., TX. (Possibly American Indian decent)They were married 1873 and had three sons:
George Washington Lawson b. 1873 MO
John Wesley Lawson b. Mary 1877TX
Marion Samuel Lawson b. March 29, 1879TX
A very interesting part is that you are looking for Sylvester WESLEY Grindle and the son of my Margaret Grindle was John WESLEY Lawson. This is probably a family name that just might show a link here.
How would I get hold of a copy of the book on the Grindles by Joseph?
Does any of this sound familiar to you?
