Grissel Family

Hello any family members out there, that could possibly be connected. I have come across an vast numbers of spelling mistakes in the Grissel name. My Great Grand-Father was Fredrick Gressel, born in Germany on July 9, 1834. I am thinking that if the family does come from Germany way back there might be a connection. I have seen certificates and even my Grand-Mother's Baptism where the last name was spelt so many different ways, my head is spinning already. Now I have come across Fredrick and it may be a problem to figure out so I am reaching out to all. Remember the family immigrated to all countries from Germany. Take care and hope to hear from anyone that has come across this problem.
