It certainly sounds like you and the David Grobe who wrote here a year ago are closely related.

He writes of a David Edward Grobe, married to Sara Jane Macleod, who ran a store in Ymir B.C. until about 1920. He says that this couple had a son, David, born in 1909 in Ymir, died in 1984 in Spokane. Wouldn't that David (1909-1984) be your uncle?

And wouldn't your grandparents be David Edward Grobe and Sara Jane Macleod - explaining your sister's middle name?

Maybe it will turn out that we are related through your McLeod grandmother and mine!
