Hi Derek. Stephen was my great-great-grandfather. I don't know what information you have or are looking for, but Stephen was born in Stonington, Rhode Island. He and Mahala were married in 1818 and moved with the first six of their twelve children from New York State to Eagle, Michigan, in 1834 by way of Buffalo, NY and Detroit, MI. They claimed 80 acres and built their log cabin. One of his sons, William (my great-grandfather), moved to St. Charles, Minnesota in 1862, returning to Michigan in 1864 to volunteer in the Civil War. After the war he returned to St. Charles where he and his wife Clarissa had six children. The family is still in Minnesota.

If you're interested in any particular information, let me know. My father has done fairly extensive research and has put together much more information.
