Ken, I am Larry Wobker. My great grandfather, Casper Henry Wobker, married Mary(I believe Katharine Marie) Grolle on Jan7, 1882 in Toledo, OH. They had recently come from Germany. In 1885 they moved to Lincoln, NE. In 1890 they moved to Osawatomie, KS, and around 1900 they moved a few miles to rural Miami Co.They and their descendents have lived in the area since.I believe Mary's parents( Casper and Catharina)and siblings(Wilhelm, Lousie(Louisa), and Henry(Heinrich))came to Toledo via New York harbor in 1882 on the ship General Werder. When great grandmother Mary died in 1949 her obit listed Louisa Devore of Lincoln and Henry of Toledo as surviving kin. It is my belief that a large percentage of the Grolles in the USA are decendents of Wilhehm and Henry. You probably already know the answer to that already. With Grolle with the ending E and Wobker being so unique I would guess that we have a match.

Hope to communicate with you soon.

Larry Wobker
