William Joseph Groombridge

William Joseph Groombridge was baptised on 25 December 1822 in Epsom, Surrey, and married Mary Hayton there in 1845. However, the baptism entry says that his parents were William and Sarah Groombridge 'of London'. I have so far been unable to trace where William and Sarah were married, or whether they had any other children. The Epsom registers carry only a few isolated Groombridge entries, and there seems to have been no ongoing family settlement there prior to 1845. William Joseph became a builder, and it is believed his father also worked in some capacity in the building trade, possibly as a carpenter.
Has anyone come across William and Sarah in their research? Any clues would be most welcome, as would news of any other descendants of this family.
