Thomas, son of Simon GROSS, born at Hingham, Feb 4 1677078. Resided at Hingham and Eastham MA. Married first at Hingham Dec 29 1705, Elizabeth, dau of John HINCKS, of Portsmouth NH. She died Hingham June 7 1708 and he married Oct 13 1709, Experience FREEMAN. Dau of Lt Edmund and Sarah MAYO FREEMAN and grandaughter of Major John and Mercy PRENCE FREEMAN m 1649-50 dau of Governor PRENCE and grandaughter of Elder William BREWSTER OF THE MAYFLOWER. Hincks, child of Thomas GROSS and first wife b june 7 1708 ancestor of prominent Cape Cod family.
