I have recently learned that my Grotz family (Gottlieb and Anna Marie Magdalena (Schmidt) Grotz) are from Leiselheim, Germany and Bischoffingen, Germany respectively per the church records from those places. We have a Mary Grotz that came from J. Martin Grotz in my family. Sound familiar? J. Martin lived in Marshall County, KS for many years but I do not know where he got off to after Marshall County.
