Dear Naomi,
Sorry for the time lasp in answering. I was able to track my Mary Grotz to a tiny town in Leiselheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany , population about 350. The area is wine country in the Rhine Valley. My American Grotzs lived in and around Marshall County, Ks and Denver, CO. We may connect somewhere but don't know where at this point. Grotz is not that common a name. Please let me know if you find out anything in your research. I will do the same.
