Greenawalt, Ky, Ill, Mo, Tx

Need help in finding where my Greenawalts came from before they appeared in Hardin Co, Ky for the 1800 census. One census had MA another had PA. I think I start with Joseph d bef 1797, but am certain of Lewis d 1814 > David K b 1780 d. 1861 (moved to Springfield Ill bef 1860) >, William b 1814 > James H ( moved to Scotland Co, Mo bef 1860). After James was killed in the Civil War, the children moved to Texas. I think the children of Joseph are: Lewis, Catherine, Magdeline, Michael, Jacob, Susanah, John
