My great-grandfather was Carl (Charles) Mannigel who married Berthe Grunewald. She came to America in May 1870. One of the witnesses at her wedding was Friederich Grunewald who I believe came to America on the same voyage. Her parents names were Daniel Grunewald and Friedericke Sudke. Does any of this look like it links up with you. My Grunewald line lived in Dodge County, Wisconsin for a while
