Searching for information on the John Greenwald family, who were also Germans in Russia (Crimea - near Simferopol). They left for Rio de Janeiro, but eventually homesteaded in Saskatchewan, Canada. Wife's maiden name was Dorn. The spelling of the surname may have changed. He was a farmer, but served for a while in the Russian army before leaving. One son was born in Russia (my grandfather, also named John). Any information is greatly appreciated.
