HI HENTY - I HAVE A FEW GRUENEWALDS IN MY BACKGROUND, AND THEY CAME FROM BADEN, GERMANY. IN GERMAN,"GRUENE" MEANS "GREEN" AND "WALD" MEANS "WOOD". THEREFORE, THE WHOLE NAME MEANS "GREENWOOD" - PROBABLY SOMEONE WHO LIVED IN OR NEAR A GREEN WOODS.
