I am replying to this thread in hopes you and I can exchange information.
Michael Churchman .......Hlena Wonderla (Helena Wonderlin)'s husband is our family ancestor from Germany.
The surname has been translated into English....we are not sure what the German name was exactly.
Helena married Michael Churchman in Oct. 23, 1837 (or 39) in Ross County, Ohio and started a family of 9 children.
Some where born there and others at Warren County, Iowa
in town he founded, Churchvill, Iowa, just South West of Des Moines, Iowa.
