I am researching my wifes, GUBBINS family, in upstate New York back to Thomas and Hannorah GUBBINS, born 1837 and 1841. Thomas came to this country in 1850's. He and the upstate New York GUBBINS were Catholic when they arrived. I only have Thomas' father's name which was Patrick and he was from Knocklong, County Limerick, Ireland. Three other GUBBINS of the same period also settled in Annsville in upstate New York. There was another Thomas GUBBINS, born 1777, Knocklong; James and Catherine, born 1800 and 1810, again from Knocklong and Joseph and Mary GUBBINS, born 1810 and 1818. I believe it, is most likely that all of these four GUBBINS families were closely related. Any one with any additional information about the Catholic GUBBINS families please contact me and we can interchange information.

Thank You
Hank Propp
