Hi David,

My own branch of the family does indeed stem from Limerick and we know that our earliest traceable ancestor (JOHN)ran a shoe repair shop with his wife (MARGARET)a milliner, in the middle 1700s in Water Street, Limerick City. So far have not been able to link him into any of the other known families in Limerick.

Your cousin Sean recommends that you do register with the egroup as your brother Anthony is already there!

Have you tried www.groups.yahoo.com/group/gubbins

Regards

Brian
