I believe we share the same gggrandparents. Joseph and Anna Joanna Gubser came across the plains about 1852, and homesteaded on Chehalem Mountain near Newberg, and are buried in the Gibbs (aka Chehelam Mountain) Cemetery there. They had several children. One of their sons was Daniel, and one of his sons was Archibald Louis, my maternal grandfather.

Are you the Norman Gubser I've seen reference to as playing in a winning Dayton football team some time ago? I don't have any information on the early Gubsers prior to their arrival on Chehalem Mountain, and would appreciate any info you can share, pictures, histories, etc. and should I have something you don't, I will certainly share also.
