Cynthia

I am writing another book and would like to have a photo of Richard and do a write up on him.
I have most of the info in my head as Richard talked to me often since 1958.
I know he won the CYO in 1947, the Golden Gloves in 1948-49 and 51 beat Floyd Patterson by Un.Dec. in the Intercity of 1951 and lost only two of 300 fights.
Lost to Charles Cotton in 1948 Olympic Trials and to Al Prislinger in the CYO. He beat Al twice as well as Cotton. He is hailed as the greatest Amateur Boxer of all time.
Please send me a photo and how are you related to him?

Hola Cynthia
It was good to hear from you. I am going to Chattanooga, TN tomorrow for a Boxing Tournament and will return on Sunday.
I am Refereeing at Bessemer pk. on the 27th and in Hickory Hills at the Sabre room on the 26th. I will try to contact you then. Is your Tio still at the nursing home on California Ave?
Also do you know Bill Luna? He interviewed your Uncle a few years ago and is ending me a copy of the Interview.
I will dedicate part of my next book to your Uncle and I am happy that you have Pride in him.
He was a great man. I know someone in California who might have film footage of him and will contact him.
He fought Floyd Patterson only once and that was the Intercity New York VS Chicago Championship and he beat Patterson soundly.
