I fade in and out with my genealogy research. I'm back into it now and came upon these email's that we exchanged. I do have more info into the Gunning line and many certificates that I would be happy to send copies to you. I can send a picture of William Gunning, my grandfather, nephew of Isabella as well.
The 1st Gunning ancestor in our line that arrived in the new world was Timothy Gunning, from Roscommon, Ireland. His parents were Timothy and Margaret (Greeley) Gunning, and I assume that they never immigrated to U. S.
Timothy Gunning, was born on August 12,1818 in the Parish of Moore, Roscommon, Ireland.
He arrived in New York city on the ship the "Gerrick" on June 01,1846.
There was an Elizabeth Gunning aboard that ship too. I think she was his sister,
He became a citizen in 1854 in Massachusetts.
He was married to a Margaret Donovan (year and place unknown) but they had a son, Patrick, born Ma. in 1847,but the baby died in December,1848 in Roxbury, Ma.
Thier other children were, Timothy Joseph, my line, born April, 09,1849 and John, born November12, 1852.
I'll write more later......Kathy
